Featured Artist of the Week

"Hi, my name is Sonney and this is my story. It all started when i was a little kid.I've always had a thing for music.I remember I would always sing to the radio or in the shower or whatever the case was.As I was getting older, probably about the sixth grade, I started to write my own songs.Unfortunately my notebook with all my songs and ideas was stolen from me from one of my so called friends. So I decided to move to a different area in North Carolina to get a fresh start.I met some new people and heard new music and started thinking about writing and singing songs again. But there was only one problem, I had no equipment or a music producer. So at this time I was about thirteen or fourteen years old, so I decided to find a job to save up to get a start on building a home recording studio.I worked hard for six months straight mowing yards, painting houses, feeding animals, etc.By eight months I had enough money to buy a mixer, synth, computer, monitor, headphones, and a studio quality microphone.I was also a computer whiz too for my age.I couldn't really tell you what I was going to do, but when i did it, it was amazing.Soon, I would be churning out several beats everyday.I now have created over 200 instrumental beats, but only have 30 to this day.(i moved to KS with my father).I am 15 now, and I'm also a self trainer producer, but I still need to learn from the professionals.I have people signed under me to do vocals and advertise and all that.I'm pretty popular at my old school in NC.Everyone's always asking me to make a beat for them and publish their music Because my style is so unique. So now I was hoping to see if i can try to work with the big boys now.Maybe become famous one day."
